Does Cardinal Dolan celebrate a particular mass each weekend? I'd love to attend the mass that he celebrates. Does anyone know?

Also, if I were to run into him, how do you greet a cardinal? What would I call him?
Thanks

From PED's sticky in this forum:

Cardinal

a) Your Eminence
b) His Eminence (Christian Name) Cardinal (Surname)
c) My Lord Cardinal

===
as far as what mass he celebrates, I don't know. I went there during the summer and he was not there.

Go to the ArchDiocese of NY website. I think they have a mass schedule that lists "Cardinals mass."

Nah, they only celebrate 'Cardinal's Mass' in St. Louis, surely in New York it is 'Yankees' Mass'

If you have the chance, scoot up to St. Vincent Ferrer Church on Lexington & 66th. It is beautiful and a wonderful place to spend some time in prayer. :cloud9:

Reportedly, His Eminence (who is from St. Louis) has both his red biretta and a St. Louis Cardinals ball cap outside his office. They told him that's where he should put his cardinal's hat, and he wasn't sure which they meant.

It wasn't meant to refer to "outside his office".

Probably only the baseball cap would fit were they told him to stick it! You know how New York fans are.

He says Mass at 10:15. I don't know if Easter has a different schedule.

Be aware that the church in undergoing renovations, and either is, or will be, covered in scaffolding, both inside and out.

It is customary, in a Cardinal's cathedral, that when the Cardinal dies, his red hat is raised to the ceiling of the cathedral, over the main altar, where it hangs till it turns to dust. I don't remember if I saw them at St. Patrick's, but I did at the Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul in Philly. When you go to the cathedral, look waaaay up.

Peace,
Linda

10:15 mass for Easter requires a ticket.

Below is the link of St. Patrick's Cathedral:
