I don't really know. :fyi: I think if you have mad skillz at X, you're really quite good at X. But I could be wrong. I don't got no mad skillz when it comes to slang.

The Pope said driving when you are sleepy is a mortal sin, but what do you do when you're in Houston and can't get off the FWY.

Oh, I think they rather like it. At least that is what they say on TV.

Please cite this. I highly doubt he said any such thing

Even drunk driving is not always a mortal sin, though nowadays with the higher speed of traffic and the amount of it it usually is. Whereas when cars couldn't go very fast and there were fewer of them, it was usually a venial sin.

In other words, you are making it up. You made a claim, you refuse to support it. There your claim has no value whatsoever. Burden is on you

I didn't say you lied. I said your comments are worthless. You refuse to support your claim.

The pope said you were a reprobate and excommunicated. Look it up yourself.!

I cannot prove a negative. The pope did no such thing. You are wrong. He said no such thing in any writing or audience. You are wrong.

You can prove me wrong by simply citing your source. But I deny that it exists. You are wrong. I said, I claim it, I am right. And you know I am or you would stop acting like a cheap protestant does, and actually prodice proof. Which by your unwillingness you give evidence to it not existing

I expect that this document is what DesertSailor is thinking of. It came from the Holy See but not from the Pope himself--specifically, it's from the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People. It does mention the danger of driving while sleepy (see #35) but it doesn't say that it's a mortal sin to do so. (I don't recommend it, obviously.)

Also see numbers 42, 46, and 47.

I expect an apology from MH for his calumny.

He is correct that the Holy Father never said it was a mortal sin.

I know.

What's a Pontifical Council?

Think of them as sub branches of a US Cabinet department.

I expect an apology from MH for his calumny.

What calumny? You refused to give a source. That there was a non-magisterial source, that you misunderstood and misattributed is another matter.

If I said that somewhere in the bibl it says charity covers a multitude of sins, and refused to say where, why should I be believed? It is true, but what of it? What does it say if I refuse to actually support that? How about if I said we are saved by faith alone and that God said that. You would demand proof, no? And if I refused to say where that was in scripture, you have no reason to even listen to me. That there is a passage used to support that is true, that it is being misunderstood is also true. But how do you know that was the passage in question if I refuse to tell you the basis for my claim?

So you refused to engage in actual debate or conversation. That is still fact, certainly not calumny.
