Is it theologically possible that there may be some errors in the Vatican II documents?

Please defend your position.

I would like to inform Catholics who are new to the Faith, and non-Catholics inquiring about the Faith that if it is possible, this possibility does not negate the divinity and infallibility of the Catholic Church. This must be kept in mind.

The Catholicism 101 forum is for basic information about Catholicism. It is not for debating any topic, so I moved this to The Lyceum.

Carry on.

Of course. Infallibility does not extend to every statement of every council, encyclical, etc. Plus, you've got at least 4 popes who have said that Vatican II didn't define any dogmas.

It is theologically possible that there may be some error in Munificentissimus Deus, Ineffabilis Deus as well as Trent, Nicea I, Constantinople II, Vatican I decrees.
