I just got back from Chick-Fil-A. When I got there at 11:40, there were 50 cars in the drive-through lane. This extended back to the intersection. How many were in the traffic lane waiting to get in, I don't know. There were about 15 people standing outside the doors waiting to get in. I estimated about 50 people in line in the store. When I left at 12:20 after getting my carryout, there were still about 50 people in line or waiting for their food in the store and about a dozen in line waiting to get in. The drive-through still went all the way back to the intersection.

The cashier said they had a line since 6:30 that morning when they opened. I counted 13 workers in the front of the store. I don't know how many were in the back cooking. Everyone was very pleasant, no tempers flaring.

Similar numbers locally. Similar attitudes. From both entrances to the lot, cars were backed up 6-8, waiting to get in.

It's in a massively Republican-oriented county. I don't know of but one elected official, from a contested race, who is Dem. I suspect their show of opinion will be repeated in 3 months.

I hope this is happening all over the US. I can't wait to see all the media coverage! (I can dream can't I?)

Same here in middle Tennessee. Our Chick-fil-A had people lined up back to the main highway a line out the door and then a mob that looked like a herd of cattle (which is an appropriate image, as we all know bovine support of Chick-fil-a is nearly 100%). There was a local news crew there and a local, conservative radio talk show host.

... I decided to support Chick-fil-a tomorrow, and had lunch somewhere else.

Oh, wow, did you see the nuns on the first page!?!?! How wonderful! (And notice that I could tell they were nuns!!! Fully and traditionally habited!)

We had breakfast at Chick-Fil-A after Mass this morning. Our priest went with us.

I should add that our Chick Fil A was packed. Not so bad for breakfast, but it got more and more crowded as the day went on.

The Chick-fil-A restaurant on the Univ. of Southern Mississippi's Hattiesburg campus was packed with area families. But few, if any, students turned out to support or protest Chick-fil-A.

Young people are the most easily indoctrinate group. And the libs indoctrinates them well.

Take care of your children and shield them from their satanic indoctrination.

as someone who opposes same sex marriage, i am happy.

but as someone who works the food service industry, my heart aches with sympathy to all the hourly employees who were called in early, asked to stay late, struggling to keep up with the massive swell in orders, and have to humbly and shamefully inform patrons that they are all out of the product that they wanted to order due to high demands.

Chick Fil A should build new stores in Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco just for fun.
