Note: the poll allows for two response, so please indicate BOTH age range and education level.

I'm also curious as to what field your degrees are in, so if you want to add that in the replies that'd be nice for nosy folks like me :), but no pressure.

Let's see. I am 21 years old. I did a year of colege before taking a break to work full time. I'll be going back in Janaury. I'm thinking of majoring in either history or journalism.

Some people are new, some are just forgetful, so list them again if you don't mind.

It's 1:30 AM here. This "youngster" can't sleep, just trying to pass the time until Santa comes down the chimney.

Too bad you couldn't let us do three things. I could have also added trade school/other to my answer. Also military service, which really is in a class of it's own. It sure ain't college and most trade schools don't send you to war. Kind of it's own thing.

I considered giving military it's own seperate place (and I probably should have), but at the time I made the poll I decided it fell under technical school because weapons, communications, spying and such are all pretty technical. Maybe add such specialized training to the poll options I mentioned and then explain the details in a reply. Then again there's also the "other" category if you'd rather :fyi: .

Sorry about not doing three options. I should have thought of that because I know several people who got degrees after leaving the service, some who got degrees while in the service, and a couple of old classmates who got degrees THEN went into the service.

Trade school and vocation school are the same or similar. Some folks, like myself, have done much more than either/or. I have two years college studying music, six years in the military, trade school for trucking, two years as a teacher's assistant in preschool, and other things besides. Two choices just don't come close to quantifying things. :fyi:

At this point in the poll 50% of respondants have a master's degree or higher. I doubt the percentage will stay that high, but I bet DCF members will remain more educated than the average slice of population.

One of the reasons I made this poll because I have found a lot of people approach Christians with a smarter-than-thou attitude--you must be uneducated, else you wouldn't be Christian, especially not Catholic. Recently, on another forum another guy was boasting about his scientific mind and how unlike Christians, he was capable of thinking for himself. According to him, he was capable of grasping many heady things because he wasn't brainwashed with supestitious religious mumbo jumbo. He went on to describe Christians as blind sheep, "two-dimensional beings", while he thought himself to be totally "3D". The rest of the forum (except me) went along with him as if this was all common knowledge--a given.

For being able to grasp so many things, he never seemed to get why someone might think he's full of himself, offensive and misinformed. This wasn't a forum about religion, but this mindset is so common I've run into many places.
