Another 0-4 day has dropped Pujol's average to .216. I'm baffled by it. He looks completely confused at the plate.

saw the headlines about the yanks and garcia... thought they were sending him to the minors...turns out it's only to the bullpen...just wondering about the wisdom of that move...if he gives up 5 or 6 er in a little over an inning , why would moving him to the pen be a good thing to do

Smyly is leading all Tigers starting pitchers with a 1.23 ERA in four starts .... his first three starts were no-decisions for him. Yes, his ERA is about half of Verlander's (2.41). Not bad for a rookie. http://www.baseball-reference.com/playe ... dr01.shtml

fs, Jed Lowrie is doing alright for your 'Stro's, in 16 games he's hitting .297 with 2 HR's and 7 RBI's...

Pittsburgh suffered an ugly 10-7 loss to the Cardinals last night. They made 4 errors and gave up 3 home runs.

Interestingly, though, their 7 runs scored would have been enough to win in any other game that they've played this season.

It shouldn't be too hard tonight (finding a way to lose, that is :) ).
The Pirates face Lance Lynn with his 1.33 ERA as he tries to become the first NL pitcher to reach 5 wins this season.
