according to this guy, the book price for the card is $80, but he's got 3 that he will sell for $25 each

I wish I had had the foresight of a collector when I was a kid. I remember Ernie Banks, Mickey Mantle, and other rookie cards that if I had them in mint condition, would be worth a small fortune now. Instead, they probably turned some stupid bicycle into a motorcyle! :nooo:

i still have all my baseball cards...sometimes being a pack rat is a blessing... problem is, condition counts and i was not aware of that information as a kid

i even acquired more when i entered the collecting "business" back in the early 80s...kept acquiring up through the end of the decade... my biggest score was to buy 5 cal ripken rookie cards...sadly i sold all but one to finance a trip to reno to bowl in nationals in the mid 90s

that is what makes me so skeptical of all those high prices... book price is usually the most you can get, and it goes down from there according to the condition of the card
