Now, why would I want to do that? If whatever is in there has not killed me in all the years I have spent drinking from a garden hose, then I don't suppose it is lethal so why worry about it?

I should add that I am the parent who teaches kids to climb trees and how to jump on the bed and how to jump from slippery rock to slippery rock in a river. I just find that if kids are taught the proper way to do the dumb things that they will inevitably do, they will reduce their risk of injury.

Sorry... But all those chemicals? Not worth the risk, imo. I do what I can to prevent as much ingestion of these things as I can help. afterall, there are plenty of ailments, diseases, and cancers ailing people... We can not pinpoint what causes most of them. Who's to say its not from exposure to items we consider harmless?

If you use gin instead of water, it's a Wapatini. :fyi:

I am lucky in that New York City has some of the best and tastiest municipal water (no, I'm serious) anywhere in the country. It isn't chlorinated or chemically treated at all, or even pumped; instead, it comes by gravity-driven aqueducts from streams in the Catskill mountains, where a large portion was set aside specifically to serve as a pure water source for the city.

I agree that water tastes better in glass than in plastic, but I think that any ceramic will work the same way as glass.

I agree. Sometimes I use one of our coffee mugs to get a cup of water, if our glasses are all in the dishwasher. I will chose a ceramic mug over plastic, and I'll wash a glass by hand before using a plastic cup!

Water doesn't have a 'taste' unless it has been contaminated in some way....pure water is both flavorless and odorless....

When I was a kid we had two hoses. If you drank from one you were fine, but if you drank from the other your mouth would be full of canker sores.

Eh, we all have to go sometime. I refuse to worry myself into an early grave.

That's a very profound statement actually, I am saddened by all the people out there who are so afraid of dying that you aren't willing to try to live....

One product I wish they would bring back: semi-fitted top sheets.
