Three diferent tablet computers: a Motorola Xoom, a Blackberry Playbook and a nook Tablet....and yet online I see all these ads for the Google Nexus 7 tablet and I can't help but think 'I should buy one of those'.....

Is there a support group somewhere for people who feel a strange compulsion to buy electronic doodads for no apparent reason?

One of the reasons I don't like tablets...non-upgradable = disposable.

However, I (I mean my wife) own a Kindle Fire. Only reason I bought it was the price, $139. That took care of the disposable issue (not that $140 is that disposable). I can't see dumping $400+ into something that will last a year or two at most (iPad).

Don't let him send you the Playbook. It's an unusable mess.

Nonsense, it works fine, and after 8 months of nonstop use it hasn't crashed once....which can't be said for any other electronic device I have ever owned...

So in your opinion which is the best one to buy? Are they handy for college? I've never even touched an ipad or anything, I recently got an Iphone....ugh!

Oh, you have to get iPieta. It's pricey, but you get soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!

I just downloaded iPieta yesterday to my iPhone. I don't have an iPad or any other tablet.

Also dl'd the RSV-CE Bible, VerseWise. I also have the Bible and a few other nice resources on my Kindle (the entry level Kindle).

Heard so many people trashing the Playbook but got one anyway. Probably one of the most underrated tablets ever! I don't understand the hate...

It's really very simply, Blackberries aren't 'hip', therefore it is hip to bash them. Actual truth and facts are completely irrelevant unfortunately.

A tablet you mean? If I didn't already have one, I would pick up a Google Nexus 7.
