Howdy and welcome! There's lots of RCIA candiates in here, and a ton of super knowledgable members who can answer just about any old thing. So you should be able to find a lot of useful knowledge and nurturing companionship here. I know I have!

Welcome to DCF, Larry.

I am a convert from the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Prior to that I was Methodist. My wife and I went to RCIA and were confirmed at Easter 2002.

In your blog you mentioned a Christian Encounter weekend. I am not familiar with those. We have ACTS Retreats for Men, Women, and Couples. They also are Catholic based, but anyone is welcome to attend. I have been on a total of three ACTS Retreats (two as retreatant and one as a member of the "team") and a Couples Silent Retreat. They are special.
