We actually have a whole forum (you can see it below the apologetics forum) for Da Vinci Code topics. And this was already posted :)

It does sound like good news.

I remember Mel Gibson said he beleived the Holy Spirit was guiding him throughout the direction of the Passion I though the final results reflected that.
I think the spirit that helped Ron Howard direct this film has a result which reflects the spirit that helped him. The Holy Spirit is a better director than Legion.

Maybe their is hope for France after all they panned a piece of junk of movie while American made it the best selliing fictional book in modern times.
I heard this book has sold widely in America, Cananda and Britian but has only had ok performance in non-english countires any reason for this phenomena?

Also Looks like we don't need to protest this film too much after the first week hoopla the word will get around to serious movie goers that the movie is a stinker.

Some reviews are in:
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/da_vinci_code/

The verdict? Boring.

1 single positive review from the NY Post which rivals the Da Vinci Code in untruths.

The author of the Davinci Code is the same guy who poses as the editor of the NY Post.

OK now there's a few more positive reviews. Still at only 20% though.

DVC got a mention on one of our local radio stations this morning.... Something along the lines of: "If you're going to see the Da Vinci Code this weekend... bring a sleeping bag!"

Got a bad review on a local radio station where I'm at this morning, too.

Said something like, when the Critics are laughing during what are supposed to be the most serious parts of the movie, I'll just spend my money on "The Hedge."

YAY! Bad reviews are good in this case!

The Hedge? You'll have to tell me how it is when you see it. I turned down the offer my friends granparents made to bring my just turned 6 year old daughter to see it tomorrow for it's PG rating and sexual humor. But then, hey, it's probably better than how much she told us about the movie 'Hid and Seek' which I surelyhope she hasn't really seen...

Oh no, I won't be watching the hedge movie...that's what the guy on the radio station planned on going to see. No time for movies for me this weekend...besides, it's been way to nice out to spend any free time in a theatre!
