The $147 million ShowBiz quotes represents only domestic sales. It doesn't include $317 million in foreign sales. That's a total of $465 million for Da Vinci worldwide in twelve days.

The Passion earned $611 million worldwide in the 156 days it was in release in 2004.

For DVC, foreign sales are 200% of domestic sales.
For Passion, foreign sales are 66% of domestic sales.

obviously that is why the book/movie is dangerous - it has made religion appear incredibly dull and boring.

In fact so boring I feel I could not bring myself see another movie made in america for a very long time.
