The fact that it was banned out of respect for Christians rather than out of a motivation of censorship is really very impressive.

I think it was a very special gesture.

It also is offensive to Islam, as one is not supposed to show pictures of any prophet like Jesus. I'm surprised no mullah or imam has issued a fatwa banning this film.
