there is a claim that the church changed it's view of mary magdalene in 1969.. other than a change to the church calendar what changed? what was the official church teaching on her before that? was belief that she was a prostitute dogma or tradition?

have been to the encyclopedia already. what i am more concerned with is what changes if any actually happened in the 60's other than a change in emphasis on the calendar.
