Not necessarily, many books are actually more expensive as an e-book.

all of the last 5 that I've looked at on BN.com have the Nook version being much cheaper. Spiritual Combat, for example, is $5.99 on Nook and $25 in paperback.

Some books are cheaper, some are more expensive. However where you really save money is with public domain books.

So far I'm in love with it. I've just gotten through the first couple of chapters but what a great story so far.

I have such a pull to her.

Superb book. You should also try to pick up these two, which make wonderful companion volumes:

http://www.amazon.com/St-Therese-Lisieu ... 045&sr=1-1

Thanks! What I like about Therese is that she talks in simple terms. Nothing is hard to read, and she actually talks about specific events in her childhood. I love hearing such stories

I do too! I believe that the Holy Spirit and St. Therese are pulling you! :D

She appeals to so many because we can all imitate her "Little Way". :)

That's very true. I think there is something different about her in the way that she not only wrote, but lived. She didn't blow us away with "Summa Theologica", but poured our her heart. She didn't appear tough and stern like many male Saints, but gentle and meek as a daughter of God. I think, very often, of how happy I will be if I see her!

I have read Story of a Soul more than once, and several other books about her. There is something unique about St. Therese that we can all benefit spiritually from getting to know her better.

Fortunately, I was able to see the one woman live show (there were some props, and some voice tapes of pertinent people in her life in the background now and then). This was about eight years ago, or more, and it was directed by Leonardo De Phillipis who does much one-man shows himself on EWTN. It was shown at the Cathedral where I live, and all three sessions were very well a attended.

It was for one hour with no intermissions, and so artfully and skillfully done that there wasn't a dry eye in the house after the death scene at the end.

This was such a wonderful book! Saint Therese is most surely one of my favorites, with Saint Aloysius and the Blessed Virgin. She's so very humble and meek, it's amazing. Truly a saint for our times.

I would also recommend, if you can get it, Frances Parkinson Keyes' Written in Heaven: The Life on Earth of the Little Flower of Lisieux. It does a great job of expanding on her life. I actually read it before Story of a Soul; it was the first time I really learned about Saint Therese. A very good book.

Thank you for mentioning that book, I had never heard of it!
