I met someone today who is recovering from a very bad accident. He has a terrific attitude twoards the fact that he will now be handicapped for life. He was somewhat raised Baptist, and is trying to deepen his faith.

I thought it would be good to take him a book or two about deepening one's faith, but didn't want to get him something that was very overtly Catholic, more something that might appeal to him where he is, iyswim. I mean, it could be Catholic, but I don't want it to look like I am trying to convert him. It's just that naturally I think the best resources would be Catholic...

Am I making any sense? Can anyone recommend any good books?

Thank you :)
