What of X-1; The Shadow; The Whistler; Gunsmoke; Have Gun Will Travel; etc, etc.

The world is chosen isolation with a heavy beat that demeans men and the sex act and encourages violence. I long for the days of yesteryear.

I suppose they won't come back because of costs. But I wish they would.

Have you noticed the irony of the biggest bunch of liars in the country charging Roger Clemens with lying to them?

Nope. The insurance investigator with the fabulous expense account is (yours truly,) Johnny Dollar, best protrayed by Bob Bailey. Roy Rohan, your announcer.

Blackie - enemy to those who make him an enemy- friend to those who have no friend.

I have listened to Richard Diamond. I'll just have to look him up and listen some more. Of course you are right about Johnny Dollar. Sometimes my memory fails me.

Mine too. It's Roy Rowan.

How about BOX 13, with Alan Ladd?

I'm not familiar with Box 13 though I may have heard it. I love to listen to "Those were the Days" on Saturday afternoon. It's streamed on WCOD website. I also occasionally listen to the fellow out of Texas. Mostly those I listen the the Old Time Radio Archives.

which I suspect you're using, or, lately, here:

I have a set of CDs of The Shadow radio drama, 40 episodes in all (so not the full run). Be careful about claims that OTR shows are in the "public domain". I had at one point purchased discs burned with MP3 files of over 200 shows of The Shadow and the seller (on eBay) claimed the shows were in the public domain. When I found out this was not the case (Conde Nast owns the rights), I purchased the (legal) 40 episode set and destroyed the MP3 discs.
