Then Legatus called me Gherkin one day in a joking reference to my beautiful avatar, and I decided to take that name unto myself. And so it has been now for many a year. Although I was gone for more than two years in my last lapse.

I'm planning to stick around this time.

I thought it was Miki who gave you the name Gherkin. But Legatus was good at coming up with names, too.

The link I posted was from the Wayback Machine. I thought that at one point you could view the posts themselves but that no longer seems to be the case...the archive probably flushes out pages over time.

I believe Miki was the one who started calling me pickle, and then Legatus was playing off that nickname when he came up with Gherkin. Miki also threatened my life one day when I was contemplating changing my avatar. I think she was just joking.... :D

I was on the old board!!! :) But I used to post late at night and get things badly mixed up  it also took me a while to figure out how that board worked, so I would post to really old threads. I didn't go much because of that—I just couldn't keep up! But I remember Secret Agent Man, Ari, Della...

Sounds like me.

Della was the moderator, correct?

I feel like I'm sitting in a wooden rocker on the front porch of a Cracker Barrel listening to the old-timers talk about the old days. It's fun.

Rats! You beat me in checkers again!

I remember Steve (I think his last name was Allen?) and the night he all of a sudden "got it" about Mary and the saints. It was a 2x4 moment. I sometime wonder about how he's doing.

He and his wife conceived a son, Seth Abel, all because Isabel had witnessed to him about NFP.
