Hello everybody!
Yup, I'm new here

. I'll keep this short for now, but have recently returned to the Catholic Church (baptized/chrismated in the Byzantine [Ruthenian] Rite of the Catholic Church) from the Orthodox Church where my wife and I spent a few "interesting" years. God
finally got our attention by figuratively whacking us over the head with a number of bizarre experiences that I doubt even Dostoevsky or Kafka could have come up with. Anyway, we're back and
*extremely* happy to be so! It's a rather long and convoluted story, and perhaps one day I'll go into more detail about it. Suffice it to say for now that it involves demonic oppression, a priest who got dismissed and excommunicated, and a so-called "prophet", somewhat along the lines of Rasputin.
So, now we have joined our local (Roman) Catholic parish which is a whole 5 minutes away from us. We will not forsake many aspects of our Eastern roots, but as far as we're concerned Catholic is Catholic is Catholic, so our local parish works just fine!
In Christ,
JM
