... spoke here in Belfast last night on The Da Vinci Code. Absolutely fantastic speaker. Has anyone here read his book, The Da Vinci Deception?

Wow, sounds like a great experience Leah. Haven't read his book but have heard much about it.

He has a great book on the DVC really easy to understand for the common catholic layman.
I think Olsen's book is more detailed and the definitive work on the DVC but it is a harder read for most people and Shea's book is the one I would recommend for the common catholic interested in the DVC. I would suggest Olsen's book for apologetic purposes as it blows away the DVC with intellectual challenges and historical facts but it might be overkill for those not brainwashed by the DVC but want quick touchpoints which to refer to.

Thanks, Tobit! Sounds good... I missed out on the chance to get one of the books last night (was feeling a little ill, so left rather quickly at the end)... but thankfully my friends are the ones who have organised part of his speaking tour here in Ireland, so I'll just send one of them a text and get them to pick me up one! :)

Doom has recommended the book and said it was good.

Mark apparently had problems getting over there. Glad to hear that he made it OK.

He was stuck in Chicago overnight due to bad weather and so they had to fly an English priest over to Dublin to speak on the RTE 'Late, late show' on Friday night. I think it went well, though.
