Being a moderator is like being elected Pope, no one who wants it should be allowed to have it. Siggy had to nag me for 6 months before I finally agreed to accept this job.

If only you were as humble as I am.... in fact, I might even say that I am proud of my great humility!

Hmph. I can't help it if I'm a control freak. When we had that attack on the board a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to take action. Well, I PM'ed all the moderators etc that I could think of, so I guess I did take action... And they DID remove the awful material fairly quickly.

Yeh, ok, I guess there is no good reason why I should feel the need to be a mod. I satisfied my need to do something about it rather than just sitting on my hands and waiting for someone else by simply pm-ing the mods, and they got rid of the stuff when they had to... ok, point taken. I retract my remark about wanting to be a moderator. No real need after all.

I was around that night and you didn't PM me..... I know that you ignored me purely out of spite..... I removed all that stuff from the Pub and other forums, don't I get credit

Sensitive, easily offended and egocentric Doom

And actually, I wasn't really trying to make a 'point', just needle you a bit..... :D You haven't been here nearly long enough to be trusted to be a moderator, you will need a lot more seniority than that.....

;) Yup, thats fair enough, I haven't even been here a year yet! And the fact that I already feel so at home here, and like I've belonged to the community for so much longer, is only testament to how welcoming everyone is here, and how genuinely helpful.

But as aforementioned, I no longer see the need even if I had been around long enough.

As for needling me - ;) I have 4 younger brothers. You'll have to do a lot worse than THAT, I can tell you!! If you went far enough to GENUINELY irritate me, you'd probably have yourself reported to all the other mods.

As for deliberately snubbing you - well at last I've found my mission in life. I was so successful that "night" as you so creatively call 11am in the morning (gotta love the time difference) that I think I'll take every opportunity that I can in the future to replicate such a stunning snub.

Roland's post is, of course, coded. It means, when translated, "I wish I was in the land of cotton, old times there are not forgotten."

Or, possibly, "Shave and a hair cut, two bits."

I can't tell for sure, because my decoder ring has some Fruit Loops stuck in it today.

Go to the back of the room and write out 100 times, I must not get fruit loops stuck on my decoder ring. This is an outrage.

Yes, mum.

Oh, by the way--and let's assume for the moment this is just a hypothetical question--would I be punished if I got Honey Nut Cheerios in my decoder ring?

of course. You know the rules. Do not get anything on your decoder ring that would make it hard to decipher code. I think it is rule number 234876 in the gold handbook.

Uh, the canoe?

But don't mind me. I'm not really here. I'm still writing out my lines.

My canoe is made of lily pads. Not sure if that helps or not.
